Gado-Gado is a national dish of indonesia, consisting of mixed vegetables in a peanut sauce. On average it costs 5,000 Rupiah, or 50cents. Gado-Gado also refers to people of mixed ehtnicities, like me.

Morning Question:
What is the difference between impulsiveness and spontaneity?
Spontaneous is perhaps a more natural way of reacting... reacting genuinely from your core. Listening to your heart and going with it. Its connotations are, to my mind, more along the lines of free spirited.
Impulsive could be of less pure form , where the action is without consideration for the consequences and perhaps more self indulgent.
The two words would be interchanged if the perceived result of 'rash' behaviour is positive or negative.
now i live in san francisco. i named this blog when i was living in a city affectionately known as "jogja" (pronounced johg-ja), pop. 500,000, located on the south-central coast of the island of java. even though i'm back in the states, i still imagine myself as gado gado girl. a heap of mixed vegetables of a mind.
